✅ Good day…still not quite back into my routines. Need to get things settled personally and for my workshop in the townhouse. Chipping away at it. Exhausting but good days! Need to write and publish some long form thoughts.

👍 Just a few things remaining at the apartment at this point, I'll get them later today. Being back in the townhouse is a breath of fresh air, much needed. Haven't checked email, messages, replies, anything, since Friday. Will begin to get back into the swing of things today. Great blur of a weekend, and Mozzie with me the entire time!

😴 2am again. Time for bed. Successful first official moving day. Finished the day with assembling Mozzie’s bed…finished at 1am 🙈 but he’s in his new bed on the first night. Sleeping on the couch for me tonight. Final everything tomorrow.

💨 Van filled with boxes, will run it all over tomorrow. Next few days are going to be wild. Marking tonight as my last night in the apartment with a cigar out on the shared balcony (first in a while!). Next cigar will be in full sun on my deck, listening to birds sing their songs.

It started as an empty box. It started with my marriage being in limbo. When I moved here I was moving out of my parent’s house for the second time. The first time was when I was 21, just a few weeks before getting married to my high school sweet heart and best friend. I moved back in on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 as I was no longer welcome in my home with my wife and son, my marriage crumbling before my eyes.

I never use glue when making something. Especially in my woodworking projects, and most of the time in my leather projects. I always have the future in mind: what if this bag comes back for repair? What if I need to disassemble this, move it, and put it back together again?
Day reorganized, some things moved to tomorrow. Power nap now, then coffee and knocking out a lingering annoyance so the rest of the week is clear. Tomorrow through Thursday will be mostly focused. Friday is a move day. Saturday the final move day. Here we go!
