For the record, I successfully carved the bowl of a wooden spoon yesterday. Doing so last week is what scored six stitches on the tip of my left thumb.

Sliced my thumb pretty bad today. Mindfulness is key when using a razor sharp knife, and I wasn’t being mindful.
Allergies have been off the charts the past several weeks. Ready for a break, hopefully soon.

In the carving phase of a project. Nothing fancy. More dowels.
The best way to start is to start.
Productive shop time today. Cut 42 walnut blanks (to carve into dowels) and selected and cut a portion of cherry to begin carving a spoon or two.
Power went out overnight. Led to 4am wanderings and a strong reminder of the single point of failure we rely on so heavily in our home. Something to work on.

Quick project: wanted a simple solution to organizing the smaller things on my desk. Version 1 turned out pretty good. Wood that otherwise would have gone to the chipper.
