@troykitch it really does. I enjoy the process: i use my small carving axe to breakout the rough pieces, then whittle with a knife, then cut down to size +1/4โ€ with my backsaw. Brace and bit to create the hole, shop mallet to pound them in, then flush-cut saw for a finished look.

This particular part of the project required 56 dowels, they are all unseen on the back, but I know they are there and thatโ€™s all that matters ๐Ÿ˜‚
